Fun Twitter Game, +1
So, we all know there is lots of fun to be had on Twitter. Tons of quizes, games, contests, and more.
Jason recently submitted this game to Twittonary. I am still trying to decide ‘where’ I should place it or if I should add it to a new Twitter games page. But in the meantime thought I’d give it a mention.
Game: +1
a +1 is used on twitter when someone’s tweet is funny and worthy of more than just a “Haha” or “LOL”. You simply @reply the user that had the funny tweet with a +1. Simple, and it gets to be a lot of fun once you get enough people in on it. Also credited w/ creating the +1 are the following tweeple (@jasonstoltzfus), @andymerrick, @annieblogs, & @evanweatherford.

A Twestival For Clean Water
- Right now 1.1 billion people on the planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. That’s one in six of us.
- Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
- Many communities in developing nations often have a plentiful supply of clean drinking water just below the ground, but no way to get to it.
A Twitter arranged festival of epic proportion, all for Charity:
This is where charitywater.org and their partner organizations come in. Drilling a well can cost from $4,000 – $12,000 USD and many living on less than $1 a day cannot afford one in their community, even if the money is combined.
Twestival is a Festival of Twitterific Proportions and organized on twitter itself and its hope is to raise enough money from their event to fund a well project in a developing country, starting at $4,000 USD. Tickets are still available for Twestival for most all cities participating.
